Not only do F16 bomber kites fly high next to East Jerusalem’s Old City Wall by young boys, but large visible supplies of toy guns and rifles are ready for purchase by eager youth!

Mpumlaphi, Lee-Ann, and I are proud of our EA vests, even though it gives me that tank look!
We have all survived our four days in our respective placements, mine in Jayyous, learning about the area and the tasks to be done in our accompaniment role. Our week’s orientation in Jerusalem ends soon, with a tour on Saturday of Jerusalem, before heading back to our posts in the West Bank.
We’re not sure what will materialize at Ben Gurion Airport when some 700 activists are due to fly into Israel to protest the occupation – that’s on Friday, the 8th.
